HOW IS GENITAL AREA FAT INJECTION PERFORMED?

 

Genital area fat injection is an application performed under sterile conditions in a clinical environment with regional anesthesia in our clinic. Patients are discharged 5-6 hours after the day's hospitalization.

The process has 3 stages:

  • Kanül ile yağ almak (Fat harvesting),

  • Alınan yağı işlemek (Fat processing),

  • Yağı enjeksiyon ile dokuya vermek (Fat transfer).

The most preferred area for fat removal is the abdomen. However, it may not be easy to remove fat from the abdomen in patients who do not have abdominal fat, are thin, or have undergone abdominoplasty. For this reason, fat can be removed from the lateral abdomen, inner thigh, outer thigh and mons pubis areas.

The process to thin the mons pubis area is called 'mons pubis aesthetics' or 'mons pubis reduction'. The extracted fat is injected into the desired areas after undergoing some procedures for thinning.

IS INJECTED OIL PERMANENT? HOW CAN THE PERMANENCE OF OIL BE INCREASED?

 

In the 6th month after the big lip fat filling injection, the fat tissue continues to exist between 30 and 40%. In other words, two-thirds of the fat taken melts in the first 6 months. The permanence of the remaining one-third is up to 5 years. In some cases, this permanence period may be less or longer. Fat tissue injected into the big lips also melts in those who lose weight quickly after the procedure. Losses are also higher in smokers and those who do not eat regularly. For this reason, oil filling is done a little more, taking this loss into account during the process. The application can be repeated at intervals of several years in patients who wish. In labia majora augmentation procedures with fillers, the permanence period is usually between 6-8 months.

On the other hand, there are opinions that adding PRP into the oil can increase the permanence.

WHAT SHOULD BE ATTENTION TO AFTER LABIA MAJORA OIL FILLING?

 

Care after labia majora oil filling is very important for both rapid recovery and increasing the permanence of the oil. Ice application is recommended in the early post-procedure period. It is recommended to use antibiotics and painkillers at home. The bandage applied to prevent bleeding in the area where the fat was removed is removed after 48 hours.

 

Suggestions after discharge are; avoiding hot showers for a week, not rubbing the genital area, staying away from blows, not using hot springs, hot baths, hot pools for a month, not wearing tight pants, avoiding riding a horse and cycling. There is also a one-month restriction for sexual intercourse and heavy sports.

 

Smoking is also not recommended as it will negatively affect both collagen production and the nutrition of adipose tissue.

ARE THERE RISKS OF VAGINA FILLER INJECTION OPERATION?

 

Complications related to both the area where fat is taken and the area where fat is given can be experienced after fat injection.

Fat removal should not be done in very thin patients who do not have enough fat, and those who have problems with bleeding and coagulation.

  1. Bleeding, hematoma, infection, local dimples may occur in the area of fat removal.

  2. Bleeding, tissue infection (cellulitis), fat embolism, fat necrosis, calcification, sebaceous cyst, tissue irregularities or asymmetry can be seen in the area where fat is applied. This is a special operation that should be done by experienced people.
