ARTVIN hymen suturing, also known as Hymenoplasty, is a mucosal fold that separates the perineum from the vagina and is located 1-1.5 cm from the vaginal entrance. It is known as a symbol of women's virginity. It still maintains its importance in closed societies.The hymen can be damaged during the first sexual intercourse, as well as after compulsory genital surgeries or accidents. There is an opening in the middle of the hymen that allows menstrual blood and vaginal discharge to come out. Due to the structural differences between individuals, the hymen varies. Sometimes there is no hole in the hymen. The closed hymen (hymen imperforatus) that we see in this way is perforated by gynecologists with a simple surgical intervention. Some hymens are very thick and high-edged. Bleeding is excessive during the first night of intercourse. Or, the part torn during intercourse may coincide with the vein and may require stitches. Others are very thin and transparent and allow intercourse without bleeding. Or there is no vein in the torn area, there is no bleeding.
